Our Story
Hi! My name is Merissa and I'm the founder of Her Dream Co. I am so glad you're here! Let me tell you a bit about myself- I am married to my high school sweetheart Brandon, and we have been married for 8 years. Together, we have 3 children who are the inspiration for this company.
After having my first child, I suffered from postpartum depression and anxiety. I remember being up in the middle of the night feeding my baby, battling racing thoughts and panic attacks. I would often wonder how many other moms would also be awake in the middle of the night feeding their child. Was I the only one? Who else felt this constant state of panic? We didn't have candles in our house because I know how toxic they can be so I would turn a light on to remind myself there is light at the end of the tunnel and also to remind myself I'm not alone. When I was pregnant with my third child, I wanted to find a way to make cleaner burning candles that I could light while I was up at night feeding him. Since then, I've had a mission to make cleaner burning candles that provide a sense of nostalgia and a desire for women across the world to feel empowered, seen and heard. You are worthy of this life, and you are more than enough. When you light one of our candles, it is our belief that someone else has a candle lit as well; you are truly never alone.
